Jenny Odell is a thought-provoking artist who copies images from Google maps and creates these amazing compositions and color combinations which she calls "Satellite Collections". These are digital images of parking lots, landfills, billboards, silos, etc captured from Google Satellite View. The San Francisco based artist considers herself a collector and feels she is documenting the past of natural and man made landmarks. I think her collages are pretty amazing and gravitated to them immediately after spotting the first image I saw.
