oh, i adore thee...

Adore online home magazine really gets my juices flowing- it has the brightest colors!  I am always inspired by home design and decor- maybe too much- I have a million candle holders, vases, display trays, etc, its ridiculous.  Still, I cant go to West Elm or TJMaxx without finding something I have to have.  You know what I mean.

Interior design is art, which is clearly depicted in the book the perfectly imperfect home.  Mom, if you are reading this- yes I need a copy!

thank you, Deborah Needleman, for continuing the domino effect

my christmas cactus is blooming, my christmas cactus is blooming!

I am so happy to announce that I have kept my Christmas cactus alive since LAST YEAR! It finally has a few buds and seems to be flourishing in my windowsill. It sure has been a long year, and so much has transpired. My weekly watering ritual- I think has kept me sane over the past six months. If I wasn't responsible for watering my plants, what else would I do?

I also wanted to share a picture of a poster i purchased from Methane Studios. These guys rock- and not to mention- the artwork is AMAZING! The floral hand grenade I bought is a 2nd edition 4 color screen print by Mark McDevitt.  Love!

XOXO

It's almost Christmas Time

As I was walking around Soho yesterday I noticed that all the stores are already decked out for the holidays.  I just love when it gets to be this time of year and to start thinking about decorating and spending time with my family.  I got some great xmas decorations on sale last year from Anthropologie and cannot wait to start decorating my new apartment this year.  I have always had a real tree because I dont think it feels like Christmas without the smell of the pine needles.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from last years Holiday.

My Dad always fry's two turkeys for the day after Christmas.  OMG it is so good. His side of the family is really big and we usually devour the first turkey before we even sit down for lunch.

 My Mom's library decorations.

My beautiful Momma in front of the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.

The amaryllis arrangement that we admired throughout dinner.

My Gran is always with us when we celebrate!! Love and miss you!
