A Love Letter for you
This is a great vintage sign series in Philadelphia. Over 40 Artists are participating in this on going art exhibit throughout the Philadelphia Area "Love Letter is literally a love letter painted on the walls facing the Market elevated train.
"The project will encompass 50 painted walls between 63rd and 45th street on Market Street, a documentary film with scripted elements, a sign school and shop that will provide training for area youth and free signage for businesses on the market street corridor, and 2 books documenting the project. One of the books will be a small paperback that will be distributed to area businesses free of charge, for them to sell to visitors. The other book will be a larger hardcover book that will document not only the artwork, but the neighborhood and the inspirations of the Love Letter Project.
Love Letter is an unprecedented public art project by Steve Powers and The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. It is funded by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through the Philadelphia Exhibitions Initiative." Check out the site at a Love letter for you

DYI Headboard
OMG! You know I LOVE this: A DIY headboard that is embroidered? If I didn't have a king size bed and a limited cash flow- I would totally be making this! I am filing it into my things to do as soon as have the moolah... Instructions on Design Sponge
Weird Wrenches
These hand wrenches reminded me of something Martha Stewart would have as part of like an ancient wrench collection- she is odd like that. Find it clicking here

Tony M. Peralta
Tony's work is awesome and he is definately thinking outside the box... he recently came out with a line of bowties. In the past he has done alot of t-shirts, screen-printing, and paintings. I am so excited about this because if you know Tony, you know what a stylish kind of guy he is. The ties are the traditional shape but have unique patterns designed by Tony but are also manufactured in unconventional materials, such as leather. On his website,www.viixx.net, he uses the Madison Ave Boys to promote his ties, but you can also purchase other merchandise from him on the project shop. Check it out!

The Edwardian Needle
I have been working on my first cross-stitch project in probably about 15 years and have loved every minute of it. A couple of weeks ago I took the bus, about a 30 minute trip, to Bloomfield, NJ to visit the Edwardian Needle. This shop is pretty incredible, they offer classes and a huge assortment of threads- basically anything for all types of needlepoint. As a newbie, I did need some extra attention, and Pam, the owner/self-acclaimed stitching expert, treated me as her apprentice and taught me all I needed for my first design. I am planning on tracking my progress, due to the fact that it is taking me FOREVER to get through it. Over the past 4-5 days I have accomplished what- to you may seem like very little, but to me seems like a huge achievement. Here is the pattern I am using. The large flower on both ends is the center of the piece. The actual project will be long and narrow.

Paper Shoes
These Shoes are made completely from paper. The colors are great, I would totally wear them! The artist has also made other 3-D designs from paper which you can find at http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Feet-in-Color/224627

Strawberry Pincushions
I have decided to begin cross-stitching as a relaxing and creative hobby.... Before I could get started, I needed a pincushion to stay organized. I got the idea for the strawberry pincushion from the Martha Stewart website and I love them! Basically you use woven fabric, decorate it with french knots, and fill with sand. Easy and fun!
